คณะกรรมการนโยบายเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (สกพอ.) (https://www.vechmont.com/Guestpost/) หรือ อีอีซี เปิดกิจกรรมปฐมนิเทศโครงการพัฒนาสมรรถนะการจัดการ โรงเรียนต้นแบบการใช้ภาษาต่างประเทศทั้งครูผู้สอนและนักเรียนในเขตพื้นที่ อีอีซี (การใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ-จีน) ในระดับมัยธยมศึกษาและโรงเรียนเครือข่าย ภายใต้โครงการกองทุนเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก 2563 - 2564 เพื่อยกระดับการจัดการศึกษาสู่ ระดับสากลในการใช้ภาษาต่างประเทศ
อีอีซี ได้ร่วมกับ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา ขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ ในมิติด้านการศึกษา โดยการพัฒนาเทคนิคการสอนและเพิ่มเติมองค์ความรู้รายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาจีนให้แก่กลุ่มครู มุ่งสร้างเครือข่ายของครูในพื้นที่ และพัฒนาให้เป็นครูต้นแบบ ขยายองค์ความรู้ไปยังภายในและภายนอกโรงเรียน
โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากสถาบันการศึกษาในพื้นที่อีอีซีกว่า 17 แห่ง แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มโรงเรียน 13 แห่ง และวิทยาลัย 4 แห่ง มีครูที่สอนภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาจีนรวมกว่า 60 คน และมีนักเรียนในสังกัด รวมกว่า 28,000 คน
