นายวีรพงษ์ ธนากิจจานนท์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไป ฝ่ายกีฬายานยนต์ บริษัท ไทยยามาฮ่ามอเตอร์ จำกัด ได้ให้สัมภาษณ์ก่อนการแข่งขันในสุดสัปดาห์นี้ว่า "ผมเชื่อว่าแฟนมอเตอร์สปอร์ตชาวไทยและเอเชีย ตั้งตารอคอยการแข่งขันสุดสัปดาห์นี้ อย่างที่ทุกท่านทราบถึงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของไวรัสโควิด-19 ส่งผลให้การแข่งขันถูกเลื่อนตั้งแต่เดือนพฤษภาคม โดยในช่วงเวลาที่ผ่านมา ยามาฮ่า ไทยแลนด์ เรซซิ่งทีม ได้มีการเตรียมความพร้อมอยู่ตลอด เพราะเชื่อว่าการแข่งขันจะเกิดขึ้นจริง เราทำงานกันอย่างหนักและต่อเนื่องทั้งการเตรียมความพร้อมของรถแข่งในห้องทดสอบของเราโดยทีมช่างและ Race Engineer ที่ร่วมพัฒนากันอย่างต่อเนื่อง"
"ในส่วนนักแข่งเราก็ได้จัดโปรแกรมการเทรนนิ่งเพื่อเติมเต็มส่วนต่างๆ ให้นักแข่งเราแข็งแกร่งยิ่งขึ้น เพื่อความพร้อมสำหรับการแข่งขัน สำหรับเป้าหมายของเราในปีนี้ คือการคว้าแชมป์ทั้ง 2 รุ่น ภายใต้รถแข่ง YZF-R1 ในคลาส Superbike 1000 cc และ YZF-R6 ในรุ่น Super Sport 600 cc ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นของนักแข่งและทีมงานทั้งหมดของเรา เราจะก้าวข้ามในทุกขีดจำกัดไปด้วยกัน"

ศึก OR BRIC Superbike นัดเปิดฤดูกาล 2021 จะเริ่มในวันศุกร์ที่ 17 กันยายนนี้ โดยมีคิวลงซ้อมรุ่นละ 1 ครั้ง ส่วนในวันเสาร์ที่ 18 กันยายน จะมีการฝึกซ้อมในช่วงเช้าและลงควอลิฟายในช่วงบ่าย ก่อนที่เกมนัดชิงชนะเลิศจะมีขึ้นในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 19 กันยายน เริ่มด้วยการวอร์มอัพในช่วงเช้า และออกสตาร์ทเรซรุ่น Super Sport 600 ในเวลา 15.30 น. ตามด้วย รุ่น Superbike 1000 cc ในเวลา 16.30 น.
ทว่าด้วยมาตรการของสำนักงานสาธารณสุขจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ที่จำกัดจำนวนผู้ชมให้เข้าชมในสนามได้เพียง 25% อย่างไรก็ดีแฟนความเร็วสามารถติดตามข้อมูลข่าวสาร รวมถึงร่วมเชียร์และเป็นกำลังใจให้กับขุนพลนักบิด Yamaha Thailand Racing Team ผ่าน Facebook และ Instagram : Yamaha Thailand Racing Team
